Course Details

The EQuIP Program is a structured 7–10 month blended learning course designed to build Quality Improvement (QI) capacity across cancer care centres in India. Each participating team works on a real problem from their institution and is guided through QI methodologies to improve identified processes and outcomes.

The training includes virtual monthly sessions that combine didactic teaching on key QI concepts with discussions on each team’s project progress. These interactions help teams apply the concepts to their real-world challenges and receive continuous guidance from trained mentors.

Learning is further strengthened through an in-person hands-on workshop, where participants engage in intensive experiential training delivered by national and international faculty.

The program operates through two interconnected tracks training new clinical teams each year and supporting QI-Hub centres that mentor multiple internal teams, thereby ensuring sustained and scalable QI culture across institutions.

Today, EQuIP consists of 100+ trained faculty members, 14 QI-Hub centres, and engages 10–15 new teams and 30–50 Hub teams annually, contributing to a strong national QI ecosystem.

EQuIP-India 2026 Programme Overview

We are proud to have a distinguished team of 50 eminent faculty members guiding this initiative. To date, over 100 multidisciplinary teams from cancer centres across the country have been successfully trained.

The training is delivered through two formats:

  • Classical Vertical : 10–12 new teams selected and trained annually
  • HUB Vertical : Focused on expanding quality improvement efforts through a hub-and-spoke mentorship model

In total, the programme supports the training of approximately 50 teams annually, contributing to a growing and vibrant network of quality champions in cancer care across India.

Through a mentored, experiential learning approach, the EQuIP-India programme empowers teams to develop sustainable, context-specific solutions that improve patient outcomes and enhance service delivery.
