The National Cancer Grid (NCG) has established the NCG Clinical Trials Unit (NCG-CTU) to bridge the existing gaps in clinical research capacity across member organizations. The aim of the CTU is to promote high-quality clinical research which is relevant to local and regional needs. The CTU will offer assistance to researchers from member centres for the following services for academic research studies:
In addition, the CTU will conduct training and education programs in clinical research methods and biostatistics.
Researchers who wish to utilize the services of the CTU should download the application form and send it to us at
ncg-ctu@ncgindia.org.
Submitted applications will be screened by a sub-committee in the NCG-CTU, and selected proposals will be reviewed by a group of experts in research methods including biostatisticians. Applications will be prioritized based on the impact of the proposed study, relevance to context, feasibility, and likelihood of the study being conducted. Proposals with high impact and global relevance will be automatically considered for more thorough review and mentoring of the researcher (PI of the project) at the CReDO workshop (https://credo.ncgindia.org). Such studies would also be considered for funding by the NCG (www.ncgindia.org/research/submit-care-protocol).
Experts in clinical research / biostatistics who volunteer to review and mentor research projects can do so by emailing us at
ncg-ctu@ncgindia.org
We are hiring! If you are a biostatistician or research methodologist interested in impactful cancer research, send in your resume to ncg-ctu@ncgindia.org
